Obituary

HECK, Ronald J., age 69, of Carleton, passed away on October 08, 2020 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. Ron was born in Trenton, Michigan to Andrew and Edna Heck on June 19th, 1951. He graduated from Taylor Center High School in 1969. He worked various positions at Ford Motor Company at the Brownstown Parts Distribution Center for 30 years. After retirement, Ron kept busy assisting others with repairs, standing by the motto “You wreck it, we fix it.” He enjoyed being a finish carpenter and loved crafting unique and ornate furniture. He had a passion for some of the wilder things in life, and appreciated Harley’s and motorhomes.Loving father of his daughter Lisa Heck Schuster (Daniel) and son Ryan (Teresa) Heck and their mother Judy Heck. Beloved significant other of Kim Moosekian. Dearest grandfather of Annabelle and George Heck and step-grandfather to Ryan Schuster, Dodge and Abel Meade. He is also survived by his sister Gail (Terry) Graves, his brother Terry (Anna) Heck and his fur baby Miss Tibbs. He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Edna and his Rottweilers Cleo and Chloe.Ron will be taken by a custom-built motorcycle hearse for a final ride at 4:00pm. All are encouraged to ride along with Ron with their motorcycle or vehicle, which will begin and end from the funeral home. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Royal Oak Beaumont Trauma Center and specifically the ICU staff.
