Obituary
Tammy Lynn Havasy, born on September 15, 1963, in Wayne, Michigan, passed away on July 18, 2026, in Superior Township, Michigan, at the age of 62.
Tammy was a devoted homemaker who filled her life with love, laughter, and warmth. Her vibrant spirit was evident to all who knew her—whether through her infectious smile that could light up any room or her unparalleled ability to bring joy to those around her. She had a zest for life that she expressed through her many interests, including bowling, shooting pool, singing, and playing guitar and piano. Tammy's creativity shone through her arts and crafts, and her culinary skills were unmatched, especially when it came to cooking and canning.
She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, often throwing unforgettable parties where she served as the life of the party. Known affectionately as "Nana" to everyone, even neighborhood children, her home was always filled with love and laughter. Tammy was also known for telling it like it is, offering honest advice wrapped in kindness.
Her love for adventure often took her traveling to Florida, while her passion for sports cars, especially Trans Ams, was well-known among her friends and family. Tammy was a loving and supportive presence, bringing comfort and encouragement to all.
Tammy is preceded in death by her beloved parents, George and Lillian, her brothers Michael Brady, Donnie Murray, and Doug Murray, and her grandparents Nevada (George Sr.) Brady and John (Anna Lisa) McDermott, Sr.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Fred, and her loving children Brandy (Justin) Emond, Jessica Havasy, Tiffany (Mohammed) Alaweia, and Alfred Havasy. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: James, Hunter, Jaxon, Bentley, Justin Jr., Nevada, Haley, Grace, Emma, Carter, Easton, Mikeal, Noah, Bradley, Zaky, and Delilah. Tammy is the cherished sister to Danny Granger, Tyler (Lana) Blount and Renee (Keith) Nutt.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Tammy's life will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at Michigan Memorial Park.
Tammy Lynn Havasy will be remembered for her loving heart, vibrant spirit, and the joy she brought into the lives of everyone she met. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
