Obituary
Carl Bruce Johnson, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on April 4, 2025, in Monroe, Michigan. Born on June 17, 1935, in Essex, Ontario, he lived a full and rewarding life, reaching the age of 89.
Carl dedicated over 30 years of his life working at McLouth Steel, where he exemplified hard work and loyalty before retiring. His years at the company were marked by dedication and a strong work ethic, qualities he carried into every aspect of his life.
A man of simple pleasures, Carl found great joy in farming and gardening. He spent countless hours tending to his garden, nurturing plants, and enjoying the tranquility that came from watching them grow. In addition, he had a passion for working on small engines, always eager to tinker and solve mechanical puzzles.
Carl is survived by his loving wife, Sondra Johnson, who stood by his side through all of life's changes and challenges. Together, they raised two daughters, Diana Finniss and Jacqueline Schillinger, who brought him immense pride and joy. Carl's legacy continues through his five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who will remember him as a kind and gentle patriarch with a love for family and a heart full of wisdom.
Though he has departed from this life, Carl Bruce Johnson leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories that will endure in the hearts of those who knew him.
