Obituary

JOHNSON, Gladys age 87, of Taylor, July 15, 2018. Beloved mother of Janet Bunch and Barbara (Gary) Niebrzydowski. Loving grandmother of Jerry, Virginia, Jerrylynn, Gladys, Amanda, Barbara, Nicole, Crystal and Mary and great-grandmother of 20 and great-great-grandmother of many. She is also survived by her brother William Osborne. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Amanda Osborne. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God”. Matthew 5:8 Gladys was born the summer of 1930, in Kentucky, where she spent most of her youthful days helping tend the animals & land with her many siblings. As she grew into a young lady, she traveled northward and finally settled in Michigan. She had a zest for helping others and living her life to the fullest. She loved to explore new places, and to spend time with her 3 children and many grandchildren. She loved each of them “A bushel, a peck and a hug around the neck”! Gladys enjoyed fellowship, it warmed her heart and she would chat up a storm with any kind soul who’d listen. She loved watching her grandson become a father, and her granddaughters become mothers; the larger her family grew, the happier she was. Gladys had a special way of bringing out the best in others, it was her goal to bring God’s joy to the world. Her salvation was important to her and she loved Jesus with every last breath. The pearly gates have opened and welcomed a beautiful soul home. Gladys will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Condolences

  • Maw will be missed by many and never forgotten. May she find peace as she reunites with her parents and her son Jerry. Maw's had one of the biggest hearts ever known. She loved all her children, grandchildren, siblings, Great grandchildren and so many others. There will never be anyone who could live and love as she did. Barbara Leitzel
