Obituary

Kenneth L. Jeffrey, 86, passed away peacefully on April 8th, 2023 at home in Riverview, Michigan. Ken was born in 1937 in Peach Creek, West Virginia, the youngest of eight children, in the family of the late Sidney and Carrie (Estep) Jeffrey. Ken attended Logan High School and was a graduate of 1955. He served in the US Army for four years following graduation. On June 3rd, 1972, he married Carol (Lester) of Man, West Virginia. Together, they shared fifty years together and raised two children, Kevin and Laura. Ken was employed by Chrysler at Trenton Engine for 30 years before his retirement in 1997. Ken was happiest when spending countless hours with his grandchildren. He enjoyed riding his bike, recycling, watching soap operas and basketball, and attending church with his wife. Ken loved reading the newspaper and visiting the post office to mail letters, clippings, and coupons to his family and friends. Ken is survived by his wife, Carol; Sons Zane (Suzy), Chris, and Kevin; Daughter Laura (Chris) Pullum; Grandchildren Cade and Lujan Pullum, Dylan Stone, Christopher Jeffrey, Candice Kelly, Jaden and Tia Jeffrey; Sister Barbara (Larry) Robison; Sister-in Laws Norma Jeffrey, Sue (Millard) Cochrane, Barbara (Glenn) Chesser; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and the late Alvin and Athalene Lester, Ken is preceded in death by siblings, Della Jeffrey, Herma (Clifford) Ellis, Wetzel (Jessie) Jeffrey, Guy Jeffrey, Ralph (Bertha) Jeffrey, Lydia (Ray) Peterson; Brother-in-Laws Ron Lester, John Lester, and Alvin Lester; and Sister-in-Law Betty (Wayne) Singletary.
