Larry was born on November 16, 1949 to the late Oscar and Teresa Jones. He passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on September 6, 2020. Larry was the beloved husband to Brenda of 34 years. He was the loving father to Larry (Kim) Jones, Jr., Julie (Steve) Kafkakis, Michael (Mary) Jones, Teresa Bailey, Patrick Jones, Samantha (Zachary) Fox, Gary Kitchen and Dustin Saunders. Larry was the proud grandfather to 11 and also had 6 great-grandchildren. He was a dear brother to Jack Peterson, David Peterson, and Carl Peterson. Larry is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Oscar Jones and Teresa (Jack) Peterson, and two siblings, Oscar Jones and Joseph Peterson. Larry was known for his frequent visits to Greektown Casino and loved his trips to Las Vegas. He was a huge western movie fan and loved listening to George Jones and Johnny Cash. Inurnment will take place in Michigan Memorial Park

Thoughts and Prayers to Brenda, Paul Jr, Michael, Patrick, Julie, and Samantha and their families. I will miss many things about Paul. His smile that made everyone else smile. His jokes and humor. But especially his kindness and concern for others. A heart of Gold. Paul just wanted everyone to be happy and enjoy life. I always felt better anytime I was around him.
