Lynn Ellen Jennings (Murphy) entered into eternal peace at her home in Wyandotte, Michigan on September 1, 2015 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Lynn was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 25, 1946, the daughter of Jack and June Murphy. She grew up in Dearborn, Michigan and graduated from Dearborn High School in 1964. She went on to Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio where she majored in Speech and Language Therapy. Upon graduation from college in 1968, she earned a Masters Degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Michigan. She then embarked on a long and successful career with the Taylor Public Schools, retiring in 2008. During that time, Lynn had a major impact on the lives of the many children and families she served. Lynn was a very kind and gentle soul with a loving and generous heart, always giving and putting others first. She met the love of her life, Irv Fox in 1993 and spent time with him traveling the world, attending oldies concerts and local festivals. She had a special love for Northern Michigan. Lynn leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her daughter Julie Jennings of Warren, Michigan, her mother June Murphy of Grand Rapids, Michigan and her brother Richard Murphy of East Grand Rapids, Michigan also with nieces Kimberly Morris and Colleen Quist, both of Grand Rapids Michigan. Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. Lynn will be dearly missed by all who truly loved her.
