Obituary

Perry Jarian, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on December 12, 2024, in Dearborn, Michigan, at the age of 99. Born on June 7, 1925, in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, Perry lived a life full of adventure, service, and love.

Perry's early years were marked by his courageous service in the Canadian Army during World War II, where he demonstrated unwavering dedication and bravery. His commitment to serving others was a testament to his character and set the foundation for a life devoted to hard work and family.

After the war, Perry embarked on a long and fulfilling career in transportation, with his last position delivering cars for Enterprise. His work ethic and integrity earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and friends alike. Perry's passion for the open road was matched only by his love for horse racing and playing cards, as well as playing the lotto daily; hobbies that brought him joy and camaraderie throughout his life.

Perry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucy Jarian; his first wife, Alice Jarian; his granddaughter, Sara; his sisters, Mary and Marguerite; and his brothers, Ed (and wife Alice) and Jack. Despite these losses, Perry's spirit remained resilient and hopeful.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Jarian, who stood by his side with unwavering love and support. Perry leaves behind three devoted daughters: Patti (Jack) Petroline, Susan (Eric) Beaver, and Richelle (Tony) Machael. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Dayna, Isabella, Alan, Spencer, Nathan, Adam, and Richie, and a great-grandfather to his precious great-granddaughter, Charlie. He also leaves behind his fur companion, Sully. Perry's legacy also lives on through many loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
