Obituary

JOHNSON, Philip E. Jr., age 75, of Brownstown, August 30, 2023. Beloved husband of Charlene Johnson. Loving father of Carrie (Daniel) Blasiola. Dearest grandfather of Craig Korte and Kayla Korte. He is also survived by his siblings, Richard (Beverly) Johnson, Jim (Lynda) Johnson, David Johnson, Anna Marie Schaller, and Kay Johnson. He is preceded in death by his parents Philip and Ann Johnson, and a brother, Edward Johnson. Philip loved to stay active; you could often find him playing golf, and if he wasn’t playing, he was working at the golf course. He enjoyed working out, listening to music, taking great pride in his Corvette, and being with his family and friends. Philip and Charlene would also hop on their golf cart and attend concerts held within their community, Bridgewater, a Del Webb subdivision, with many of their cherished friends. Philip will be eternally loved, missed and remembered by those who knew him. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to The American Cancer Society. His cremation took place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.

  • Dear Char, I am so sorry to hear about Phil. He was such a nice man, generous and caring. He was my captain for the very first MUDD outing here at Bridgewater. I'm not a good golfer but he made me feel so comfortable and valued. The Lord got a good one. Prayers, Cathy Ballnik Phil Johnson
