Obituary

RoxAnne Juracek, aged 59, passed away on February 10, 2025, in Detroit, Michigan. Born on April 7, 1965, in Douglas, Wyoming, RoxAnne's life was marked by creativity, dedication, and love.

A talented florist, RoxAnne devoted many years to her work at Riverview Florist, where her artistic flair and attention to detail touched the hearts of many. Her passion for design also shone through in her creation of "The Lodge" up north in Red Oak, Michigan, a testament to her vision and craftsmanship.

Beyond her professional achievements, RoxAnne found joy in nurturing gardens, baking beautiful cakes, and capturing moments through photography. These hobbies reflected her appreciation for beauty in both nature and everyday life.

RoxAnne is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Barbara George; her grandparents, Eugene and Edith George; and her fathers-in-law, Ron Orr and Robert Juracek.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, James Juracek, who stood by her side through life's journey. She leaves behind her cherished children, Ryan (Jessica) Juracek and Lexie (Vincent) Calmeyn, who will continue to carry on her legacy of love and kindness. RoxAnne is also survived by her father, Dennis George; her brother, Randy (Kerry) George; and many dear nieces and nephews who adored her.

Her mother-in-law, JoAnn Orr, and brothers-in-law, David (Julie) Jackson and Mark (Laura) Misko, also mourn her passing, remembering her warmth and generosity.

RoxAnne Juracek will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the gardens she tended, the cakes she lovingly crafted, and the photographs that captured the essence of her spirit.

  • We were both friends with Roxanne for many years..my husband met ger on the school bus as they traveled to Round Valley for school. I met her in 1976 when we both attended Alpine Elementary School. We played together and had many adventures from Girl Scouts to boy troubles and all that goes with adolescence. She has always remained a sweet, kind and caring person throughout the 48 years we knew her. I know her Mom is waiting for her and they are reunited and sharing their love again. Our prayers are with her family and friends. Brock and Gina West
