Sharlene Claire Jaros, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, in Flat Rock, Michigan. Born on April 11, 1937, in Valley Township, Minnesota, she lived a full and vibrant life of 88 years, touching many hearts with her kindness and generosity.
Sharlene was the devoted daughter of the late Ervin and Ruby Holbrook. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Pierce, Jr., her second husband, Jerome Leonard Jaros, and her cherished siblings, Larry Holbrook and Sally Maldonado.
Sharlene dedicated many years of her career as the Head Secretary at the Dearborn Civic Center, where she was known for her diligence and warm spirit. Beyond her professional life, she had a passion for crochet, spent countless joyful hours playing BINGO, and delighted in traveling and taking vacations to various destinations. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family and friends and found great pleasure in the simple joy of reading.
She is survived by her loving children, Shelli Shaul and Pamela (Dave) Hindle. Her legacy continues through her dear grandchildren, Ginnie (Shane), John, and Emily; her adored great-grandchildren, Justin, Devin, Janessa, Alicia, and Shane; and her cherished great-great-grandchildren, Delany, Aiden, Noah, and Sophia.
A private cremation will take place at "The Witness Crematory," located inside Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, with inurnment to follow in Michigan Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Sharlene's memory to the St. Labra Indian School for children, an organization close to her heart.
Sharlene will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her spirit will live on in the many lives she touched.
