Obituary

KUNKLE, Barry K., age 59, born on July 9, 1964, in Lincoln Park, MI, passed away on May 20, 2024, in Southgate, MI. Barry was a man who found solace and joy in the great outdoors, particularly through fishing and hunting. His passion for nature and adventure defined his spirit and brought him moments of peace. He fought his illnesses for a long period of time with grace and faith, leaving behind cherished memories for those who knew him. He loved his sisters dearly and was considered the "heart" of the family. Barry is preceded in death by his parents, William and Marilyn Kunkle. He is survived by his loving sisters: Kathleen Kunkle, Ellen (Gordie) Root, and Andra (Scott) McDiarmid. Additionally, he leaves behind his best friend, Jennifer Golding, who held a special place in his heart. Barry will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty of the wilderness he so adored. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan.
