Obituary
Beatrice Louise Klingensmith, lovingly known as Betty, passed away at her home in Brownstown, Michigan, on December 16, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on December 29, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, Betty was a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Betty embraced her role as a devoted homemaker, creating a warm and nurturing environment for her family. Her interests and hobbies were diverse, revealing her love for nature, creativity, and simple pleasures. Betty was an avid gardener and a skilled seamstress who delighted in sewing and cross-stitching beautiful creations. Her homemade applesauce, which was a fan favoite among family and friends, was just one testament to her culinary talents.
A lover of the great outdoors, Betty found joy in camping, always choosing her trusty camper over the confines of a hotel room. She also cherished quiet moments spent watching Hallmark movies, completing puzzles on her tablet or the physical ones laid out on her table. Betty's affection extended to her beloved pets, especially her dear furry family members, Pepper and Buttons.
Preceded in death by her husband, James Klingensmith, and her parents, Edward and Marie, Betty leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. She is survived by her son Michael (Kathy) Klingensmith, her daughter Debbie Klingensmith, and her grandson Adam (Erin) Klingensmith, all of whom carry forward her spirit and the memories they shared.
Betty's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and dedication to her family, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Services for Betty will be held privately; interment will take place in Michigan Memorial Park following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Betty's memory to Breast Cancer Research or a charity of your choice.
