Brenda Lee Kampsen, born on February 24, 1965, in Wayne County, Michigan, passed away on July 29, 2025, in Sumpter Township, Michigan, at the age of 60.
Brenda was a dedicated production worker in the automotive industry, where she contributed her skills and hard work for many years. Her professional life was marked by diligence and loyalty, attributes that she carried into her personal life as well.
Above all else, Brenda cherished her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who found immense joy in spending time with her loved ones. Brenda delighted in joking around and sharing laughter with those close to her. She also had a fondness for roosters and chickens, which added a touch of whimsy to her life.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Roland Blackburn, her siblings Gail Huff and Edward Demzick, and her sister-in-law, Deborah Kampsen.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Ronald Kampsen, and her beloved mother, Ruth Blackburn. Brenda leaves behind her cherished children: Rolinda (Nick) Jones, Marella (Bob) Baum, Gabrielle (Jamin) Werkheiser, and Megan Kampsen. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren: Donny, Zachery, Dylan, Emmit, Brynlee, Ira, Ezekiel, Joseph, Louis, Evan, and Roulette.
Brenda's surviving siblings include Arlene Davis, Jeannette (Larry) Lavigne, and Rhonda (Al) Sims. She is also mourned by her parents-in-law, Ronald and Janice Kampsen, and her sisters-in-law Dianna (Jean) Kampsen, Demara (Chuck) Crespi, and Danielle (Jeff) Umin. Brenda held a special place in the hearts of her many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Her life was further enriched by her loyal companions, her dogs Darla, Thor, and Peanut, who never left her side.
Brenda's departure leaves a void in the lives of all who knew and loved her. Her memory will be cherished, and her laughter will echo in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
