Obituary
Donna June Korp trotted off to Heaven on December 10, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving behind a trail of laughter, love, and a lifetime of stories that could fill volumes—or at least keep everyone entertained at family gatherings for years to come. Born in Romulus, Michigan, on July 3, 1951, she spent her life filled with spirit and faith; charmingly sassy and forever on the move.
Donna had a knack for turning everyday moments into memorable adventures. Whether she was wrangling her horse, Stella—or simply trying to convince Lola to behave, she did so with unflagging enthusiasm. Her love and care for animals knew no bounds, though one might argue it was the other way around with Fat Louie, Curly Sue, Starlight, and Buddy, who’ve already blazed the trail for her on the other side.
Her crafting skills were legendary, and her home was filled with treasures greater than any antiquing haul she could find, though she certainly enjoyed the thrill of the hunt. Donna’s personality was warm and welcoming, stopping and talking to strangers who often became friends. Donna's life had more comedy and heartfelt moments than most screenplays. She brightened the lives of everyone she came to know and love.
Family was at the core of Donna’s universe. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Winnifred Hafler, her sister Carolyn, and her beloved pets, Donna leaves behind a loving legacy in her brother Little John; her children Wayne, Bridget, and Billie; her grandchildren Ashlie, Chelsea, Roy, Tyler, Austen, and Brynlee; and her great-grandchildren Ayden and Apollo. They carry forward her wit, wisdom, and extraordinary ability to find joy in the simplest of things.
While the world might be less colorful without Donna, her spirit shines brightly through those she loved. We imagine she's now haggling over treasures and riding spirited steeds across endless fields. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Ride on, Donna. You will be dearly missed and loved always.
