Obituary
Grace Alice Kyko, 96, lifelong resident of New Boston, Michigan,
passed away on January 4, 2024.
She was born February 18, 1927 in New Boston to Arthur F. & Edith C. (Smith) Martin. During WWII she worked in the New Boston Post Office where her father was the postmaster. She married Leo Kyko on June 15, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan. They made their home in New Boston where they raised their four daughters.
Grace is survived by daughters, Leota Kyko, Janice Kyko, Katherine Kucyk and Mary Beth (Mark) Verrot, brother, Arthur (Beverly) Martin, grandchildren; Bradley (Karen) Kucyk, Sara (Ryan) Walker, Trevor (Liz Hebbard) Verrot, Gretchen Verrot, Marie Siminski, and 13 great-grandchildren who brought her great joy. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 69 years, Leo; parents, five brothers and three grandchildren.
Grace was very proud to have been a Licensed Practical Nurse for 24 years. She was involved in the schools, Girl Scouts, the New Boston Historical Society, enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, watching the Detroit Tigers and spending time with her family.
A private family service will be held. Interment at Michigan Memorial Park.
