Obituary
Grace Marie Kluge, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on December 23, 2025, in Flat Rock, Michigan, at the age of 82. Born on January 5, 1943, in Lawrence, Michigan, Grace lived a life full of love, dedication, and faith.
Grace was a devoted member of Calvary Assembly of God, where she nurtured her deep love for the Lord. Her faith was evident in the way she cared for others, always offering a helping hand and a warm smile to those around her.
A woman of many talents, Grace held a cosmetology license and enjoyed expressing her creativity through crocheting. She had a special talent for numbers and found joy in counting, a skill she shared with her family. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of her famous carrot cake and banana bread, baked with love for her cherished family. Grace also cherished her trips to Shipshewana with her husband.
Grace was preceded in death by her loving parents, Nicholas and Ruth Thierjung; her granddaughter, Courtney; her brother, Nicholas; her son-in-law, David Pace; and many brothers- and sisters-in-law.
She is survived by Allan Kluge, the love of her life, with whom she shared 62 beautiful years of marriage, a journey that began when they were just 12 years old. Grace’s legacy continues through her children, Lori Allen (Tim), Lisa MacDonagh, and Lance Kluge (Belinda); her grandchildren, Nathan Pace (Abigail), Meagan Phillips (Tyler), Joseph MacDonagh, Nicholas MacDonagh (Raeann), Amelia Perfetti (Nicholas), Kayla Darville (Trent), and Kyle Kluge; and her great-grandchildren, Carter, Ella, Mason, Levi, Odin, Augustus, Zander, and Jett. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Ann Philips, and numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Grace's warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, as they carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.
A celebration of life will be scheduled by the family at a later date.
