Ignacy Mieczyslaw Kusmirek, a cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on May 27, 2025, in Livonia, Michigan, at the age of 80. Born on July 30, 1944, in Poland, Ignacy carried with him a rich heritage and an unwavering spirit throughout his life.
A skilled carpenter by trade, Ignacy dedicated many years of his career to Ford Motor Company. His expert craftsmanship and work ethic were admired by colleagues and friends alike. Beyond his professional life, Ignacy was a man of simple pleasures and profound joys.
He possessed a deep love for the water, often found fishing or enjoying peaceful moments on his beloved boat. The serenity of sitting by the lake brought him comfort and happiness. A man of intellect and patience, Ignacy delighted in playing chess and tackling puzzles, especially when shared with his grandchildren. These quiet pastimes reflected a thoughtful and nurturing personality that endeared him to all who knew him.
Ignacy's legacy lives on through his devoted children: Beata (Dave Garr) Scicluna, Ireneusz (Lori Morris) Kusmirek, Catherine Kusmirek, and Ignacy (Pamela Brust-Kusmirek) Kusmirek. He was also the proud grandfather of ten and great-grandfather to five, each of whom was a source of immense pride and joy in his life.
