Obituary

KANALOS, Irene, age 74, of Huron Township, October 06, 2021. Beloved wife of Louis Robert Kanalos. Loving mother of Heather Mathieu, Kimberly (Dominick) Mento and Jean (Marty) Herbison. Dearest grandmother of Joshua Mathieu, Mersadeez Mento, McCenzie Mento, Quinn Herbison and Aubyn Herbison. She is also survived by her siblings Elizabeth (Skip) Culp, Robert (Janice) Harvey and her niece Allison (Travis) Waswick. Irene was a lifelong member of the Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Jean Harvey. Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.

  • Long time dear friend. Did not see Irene in years, but thought of her and her family often, grew up next door to her. I especially think about her at Halloween, back in late 50' Halloween was a great time for kids and we would laugh so much, Irene was always funny. Will miss you friend. R I P Linda Picklo
