Joy Ann Koepfgen, born on March 12, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, in Livonia, Michigan, at the age of 77. Her name was fitting for her, as she brought joy to everyone she met.
Joy was preceded in death by her father Bill and mother Betty, her brother William Thomas Koepfgen, and her cherished niece, Elizabeth Kathleen Lane. Their memories were always held close to her heart.
She leaves behind a devoted sister, Elaine Lane, and her husband, George D. Lane, Jr., who were constant sources of support and companionship. Joy's legacy of love continues through her niece, Heather, and her husband, Brian, along with their children, Samantha, Brandi, and Krystal. She is also survived by her nephew, George Scott Lane, and his sons, Jacob and Nathan.
Joy's life was a testament to the power of kindness. Her gentle spirit and warm smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Though she has left this world, her memory will forever inspire those she touched with her grace and compassion.
