Rosemarie Keeler 82, of New Boston passed away Monday January 23, at Oakwood Southshore Medical Center, Trenton MI.She was born January 22, 1930 to John L and Helen (Dula) Penxa.Rose was born in Hamtramck MI. She married John L (Jack) Keeler 62 years ago on January 21, 1950, in Detroit. They made their home in Wayne for a short time before moving to East Detroit (now Eastpointe). She lived in Huron Twp for the last 40 years.Rose was an avid gardener, preferring to work outside in the flower beds above anything else. While in East Detroit she was very active in the Girl Scouts being a leader for many years. Once in Huron Twp she became very active in 4H, eventually forming her own horse club El Caballo. She was also involved in the early years of the handicap riding program in Wayne County. Her later years were devoted to crafting and computer gaming.She is survived by her husband; son, Kenneth (Jenifer) of Carleton and daughters, Janice of Huron Twp, Laura (Bill) Britt of New Boston , & Carol of Romulus; grandchildren: Kevin Michael (Heather), Kathy Michelle, Jacklyn Rose, & Stephen William; great-granddaughter, Alexis Oakley; nieces & nephews and her sister-in-law Geraldine Penxa.She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Christine (Al) Michael, John (Mildred), Gertrude (William) Berger, Leonard, Robert, Paul, & Jerome (Stephanie) .
