Susan Diane King, a beloved partner, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, in Monroe, Michigan, at the age of 73. Born on July 13, 1951, in Findlay, Ohio, she led a life filled with love, generosity, and warmth.
For 44 years, Susan was the proud owner of a day care, where her kindness and nurturing spirit touched the lives of many generations. Her passion for caring for children was evident in every aspect of her work, and she delighted in watching them grow and thrive under her guidance. She loved her littles.
Susan had an immense love for cooking and baking, constantly collecting recipes and ideas for crafts on Pinterest. She took pride in preparing delicious meals, believing that food was a true expression of love, especially during the holidays. Her home was always filled with the comforting aromas of her culinary creations, which brought joy to family and friends alike.
In her leisure time, Susan enjoyed reading and shopping, often visiting craft shows in search of unique treasures. She adored the fall season, relishing the vibrant colors of the changing leaves, and loved shopping for flowers in the spring.
A devoted partner to Donna Ferguson for 42 wonderful years, Susan was known for her boundless affection and unwavering support to her family. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, attending their sporting events and actively participating in their lives. Her presence was a constant source of encouragement and love, even in activities she didn't particularly enjoy, because her family’s happiness was her greatest joy.
Susan is preceded in death by her loving parents, Edward and Noma Trout, her brothers Donald Trout and James Trout, as well as her beloved furbabies, Cuddles, Zoey, and Baby.
She is survived by her dear partner, Donna Ferguson; her children, Dawn (Robert) Mlynarczk and Dennis King II; her treasured grandchildren, Scott, Maranda (Jordan), Dennis, and Edward (Naomi); her great-grandchildren, Evelynn and Hunter, with another great-grandchild, Wyatt, on the way and her furbaby Sadie.
Susan will be remembered as the sweetest and gentlest human being, an amazing woman whose legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
