William Bradford Knight, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on May 30, 2026, in New Boston, Michigan, at the age of 93. Born on August 20, 1932, in Zanesville, Ohio, William lived a life marked by devotion to his family, his country, and his many passions.
William was the cherished son of the late Ira and Catherine Knight and brother to the late Florence Blair and Mary Stewart. He built a remarkable life with Patricia, his devoted wife of 70 years. Together, they raised three children: Scott Knight, Brenda Knight, and Toni Knight. His legacy also lives on through his granddaughter, Alexis Caincross, and his many nieces and nephews who admired him deeply.
As an entrepreneur, William founded and successfully ran his own radiator company, demonstrating his indomitable spirit and dedication to hard work. His career was paralleled by service to his country as a proud United States Army Veteran, an experience which he carried with pride throughout his life.
William was a man of many interests. A passionate fan of Ohio State, he eagerly supported his team through countless seasons. His love for horse racing was evident not only in his frequent visits to the racetrack but also in his joy of owning horses himself. In his personal time, William enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow Masons and relished moments spent cooking, which brought delight to family gatherings. An ardent animal lover, he found great joy in caring for his pets, who were as much a part of his family as any other.
More than anything, William treasured the moments spent with family and friends. His kindness, humor, and wisdom touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
Private services will be held for William, with entombment to follow at Michigan Memorial Park.
He will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
