In Loving Memory of Ann Taft Lebert
Ann Taft Lebert, born December 7th, 1956, beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother and the eldest among 12 brothers and sisters. On Friday September 15th, 2023, Ann peacefully passed away at her home in Wyandotte surrounded by her greatest joys in life, her daughters. She was married for 43 years to the love of her life, Jim Lebert and leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion and unwavering devotion.
Ann’s life was defined by her commitment to her family. Growing up as the oldest among 12 siblings. She learned the values of responsibility, care and love early on, which she carried with her throughout her life. She was the caring and nurturing heart of her own family. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Rachelle Solomon (Jimmy) and Carla Szuch (Don Kowalsky). Ann’s love for her daughters knew no bounds and they were the source of her greatest pride and joy.
Ann’s legacy of love extends to her six cherished grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as “Nonnie.” Blake Lukasik (Bettina), Jimmy Solomon III (Jillian), Preston Szuch (preceded in death), Landon Szuch, Jack Szuch and her name’s sake Grace Ann Szuch “Mini Nonnie”. They all held a special place in Nonnie’s heart. She shared countless precious moments with each of them leaving them with cherished memories and boundless love. Ann’s love expanded to include her great-granddaughter, Juliette Lukasik, bringing even more joy and happiness into her life with another great grandchild on the way in November.
Throughout her life Ann’s kindness and caring nature extended beyond her family as she was known for her warm heart and willingness to help others. Her generous spirit touched the lives of everyone she met and she will be remembered for her compassion, infectious laughter, and ability to brighten any room she was in.
Ann’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength and togetherness that will serve as a source of inspiration for generations to come.
As we gather to celebrate Ann’s life let us remember the love she shared and the impact she had on all of us. In this time of sorrow may we also find solace in the knowledge that she is at peace surrounded by the love of her family in a place where joy knows no bounds.
Rest in peace dear Ann (Nonnie), you will be forever missed, always cherished, and never forgotten.
Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
