LEWANDOWSKI, Cathy D., age 62, of Southgate, December 28, 2021. Beloved wife of Michael Lewandowski. Loving mother of Austin (Abigale Baum) Lewandowski. Dearest sister of Phyllis (Ed) Wood and Linda Kerekes. Dear aunt of Tim Wood, William Kerekes, Tracy (Clay) Allen and Rachael (Jacob) Ruelas. She is also survived by her 4 great nieces and 3 grandcats. Cathy was very passionate about Relay-for-Life. Every Christmas Season she volunteered for The Angel Tree and she was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army. She is preceded in death by her parents Grover and Dessie Payne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Romulus Relay-for-Life.

Cathy had a long hard journey out of this life. She leaves behind a son who was by her side for every test, treatment and doctor appointment. He spent not hours, but days by his mothers side helping her and getting anything her anything she needed or wanted. I'm sure he was the brightest star in his moms life. I so proud of the the love he showered his mother with and hope the emptiness in his heart will will be filled with memories of time he had with his mom. <3 shari leas
Cathy lived to make life better for those around her. Every Christmas, she spent countless hours shopping for SACE Cares Angel tree program. She loved finding just the right gifts for each child—and boy, could she stretch our dollars! She leaves behind beautiful memories and a huge hole in my heart. Terry Lauber
