Charles Lawrence LeValley - April 22, 2021. Born in 1931 in Lakewood, New Jersey to Ruth and Lawrence LeValley, Charles resided in New Jersey throughout his childhood. He met his beloved wife of 67 years, Donna (Chaplin) in Tennessee, and they married in 1952. As Sergeant, in 1954 he was honorably discharged from the United States Army 11th Airborne Paratrooper Division after serving his country for three years during the Korean War. For two years he attended college in Kalamazoo and resided in Michigan until his passing at age 89. Charles retired in 1988 after a 25 year stellar career with the State of Michigan Department of Natural Resources, where he achieved rank of Sergeant as a Conservation Officer. He especially enjoyed being out in the field protecting and preserving wildlife and working on the hunter safety program. He is survived by: Children – Linda, Donna Ruth, Charles (Larry) Jr., and Victoria (Darryl) grandchildren - Adam, Jaclyn, Eric, Bobby, Kaitlyn, Nathan and Luke, and great grandchildren – Alexis, Hudson, Allison, Anderson and Sawyer. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Donna, and brother Roger. His cremation took place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
