Obituary

LaBELLE, Daniel, C., age 81, of Romulus, November 21, 1942 – June 27, 2024. Beloved husband of Deborah LaBelle. Loving father of Wendy (Mike) Fuhr, Diana (Gus) Metz,

Daniel (Pam) Ross, and Shane LaBelle. Dearest grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 20. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Kelly (Jeff) Glass and extended loving  family Bill and Carrie Pritula and their three children. He is preceded in death by his daughter Sherrie Ann LaBelle, his grandsons Trevor and Riley, his parents Alfred and Ann Colburn, his brothers Skipper and Micky and his mother-in-law Shirley Green.

Daniel who was known by Danny, Sonny and Sam by those who loved him. Daniel was born to Alfred and Anna Colburn and lived his entire life in Romulus with his siblings Beverly, Jerry, Sharon, Skipper, Micky and Judi. As a young man Daniel enlisted in the United States Army serving from 1960 – 1964. During his service he was stationed in Korea, Hawaii and Kansas. Daniel loved his country and was proud to be a veteran. Daniel was a hard-working man. He was a mechanic and even owned his own business for a while, LaBelle’s Standard Service. He later retired from a job he also enjoyed, the Labor’s Union Local #334. Daniel had many loves in his life. He loved working in his yard, loved boating and fishing and loved going Up North. His greatest love was his wife Debbie and his family. Daniel and Debbie shared a life of over 51 years and together had a family of 5 which also included 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Daniel will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.
