Obituary
Herbert Eugene Loy, 82, passed away on June 29, 2026 in Southgate, Michigan.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Adkins-Loy; his children, Catherine Tyler, Andrew Loy, and Zachary Loy; and his grandchildren, Brendan Loy, Logan Loy, Zack Loy, Savannah Loy, Nolan Loy, and Charlie Tyler, who brought him great joy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Loy; his parents, Andrew and Wilma Loy; his sister, Linda; and his brothers, Clark and Don.
Herbert was a proud member of Local 636 and took pride in his work and the friendships he made throughout the years. He enjoyed studying his Bible and learning more about the Evangelical faith. He had a lifelong interest in government and current events and loved sharing his thoughts in a good discussion or friendly debate. Herbert was also known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He loved making people laugh and could always be counted on to tell a joke or lighten the mood.
Those who knew Herbert will remember him as a thoughtful man who enjoyed learning, asking questions, and sharing what he believed. Above all, he loved his family and treasured the time they spent together.
Herbert will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but they find comfort in the many memories they shared with him and the lasting impact he made on their lives.
