James David Lewis II, aged 55, of Newport, Michigan, passed away on March 14, 2025. Born on September 25, 1969, in Detroit, Michigan, James was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
James dedicated over 27 years of his professional life to the Ford Motor Company, where he was a committed and respected engineer. His work ethic and dedication were evident throughout his long-standing career. In addition to his professional life, James was a member of the United Auto Workers (UAW), where he formed many lasting friendships.
Beyond his career, James had a passion for bowling, fishing and hunting, pursuits that he enjoyed with family and friends throughout his life. These hobbies were a source of joy and camaraderie for him, bringing laughter and cherished memories to those who joined him.
James was preceded in death by his father, James Lewis, whose memory he held dear. He is survived by his loving wife, Crystal Lewis, his mother Micheleen Lewis, and his children: William, Elizabeth (Brent), Samatha, and Jamie (Matthew). He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Terry, Lilly, Alexia, Aubrey, Alliey, Gage, Acelyn, Cecelia, and Stacie. James is also survived by his siblings, Maureen and Timothy (Lisa), who will miss him dearly.
James's legacy is carried on by his family, who will remember him as a devoted patriarch with a kind heart and a steady presence. He touched many lives with his warmth and generosity, leaving behind a treasure trove of fond memories.
