Condolences

  • Beyond shocked and devastated. Karen and I worked together at Wyandotte and built a friendship. After we both left we kept in touch and met for lunch occasionally and talked every few weeks. I always referred to Karen as my "second mom". Something told me to check in with her last weekend, and I told her I missed her and loved her and hoped to see her soon. Karen was one of the most selfless people I've ever met and took care of everyone else before herself. She had such a beautiful personality and was so funny, always had me laughing. I know she is in Heaven with her mom and dad, looking down on everyone. She was so proud of Dylan and Trevor. Rene, Raquel, Oscar, Dylan, Trevor and Ben - my thoughts are with you during this terribly difficult time. She loved you all so very much. Jenna Stratz
  • To Karen’s family: I am shocked and so sorry for your loss. Karen was an awesome human being always pleasant always helpful. I know how much she loved her family and I know you all must have a huge hole in your heart The angels got a good one! Again, so sorry. Sharon Dempsey Sharon Dempsey
  • Dear Oscar, Rene, Raquel and Family, I am so sorry to learn of Karen's passing. I worked with her in Medical Records for many years at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. Not only was she a co-worker, she was a very special friend. She admired her family and was especially proud of her grandsons, Trevor and Dylan. She loved being surrounded by her family and friends. I have lost a beautiful friend but will cherish the memories of her that are close in my heart. She will be greatly missed. Fly With The Angels Karen. Love you. Jan Goodell
