Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leo Lloyd Lyddy on October 24, 2025, in Winter Springs, Florida. Born on June 23, 1934, in Groveland Township, Michigan, Leo lived a full and vibrant life, passing away at the age of 91.
Leo dedicated his professional life to General Motors Co., where he served as Chief Comptroller until his retirement, leaving behind a legacy of diligence and integrity. His career was only one aspect of his remarkable life, as he also served for eight years in the United States Navy Reserves, embodying the spirit of service and dedication to his country.
Beyond his professional achievements, Leo found joy in many sports, including baseball, golf, hockey, football, and bowling. He was not only a wonderful little league baseball coach but also an excellent storyteller who never lost his sense of humor. Known for his kindness and compassion, Leo befriended many individuals throughout his life, always looking out for the underdog and being a dear friend to many.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife Veronica, his son Kevin Lyddy, his parents Samuel and Arminta, and brothers Sheridan (Janet) and Keith (Jean), Leo leaves behind a loving family. He is survived by his daughter Kim (Anthony) DiSalle, grandchildren Kevin (Lauren) DiSalle, Kyle DiSalle, Shannon (Christopher) Bradley, and Kayla DiSalle, as well as nieces and nephews Craig Lyddy, Linda Cook, and Barbara Giannini.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, immediately followed by a service at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Michigan Memorial Park.
