Obituary
Mary Ann Lynch, born on December 14, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, peacefully passed away on May 28, 2024, in Dearborn, Michigan. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved great-grandmother.
Mary Ann’s life was a testament to resilience, grace, and unwavering love for her family. Her journey of 84 years was filled with meaningful experiences and cherished memories. Mary Ann worked at Ford Motor Co for 4 years, where she met the love of her life, Pat. Their union blossomed into a beautiful family that brought her immeasurable joy.
Mary Ann found solace and joy in various interests, including golf, bowling, and traveling. She especially loved watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren participate in sporting events. A loyal fan of U of M, Michigan State, Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings, Mary Ann’s enthusiasm for sports was infectious.
Mary Ann is survived by her devoted spouse, Pat of 65 years and her loving children Trisha Moret, Linda (Mark) Pernak, Patrick (Sherri) Lynch, and Deborah (Tom) Manor. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Valerie (Todd), Jessica, Keith (Candice), Melanie (Kevin), Shawn (Emily), Ryan (Jamie), Sydney, Gabrielle, and Dominic, as well as her great-grandchildren Zachary, Madilyn, Abigail, Mason, Clara, Matthew, KJ, and Easton.
She is preceded in death by her father Paul Waske, mother Clara Waske, brother Paul Waske, Jr., sister Joanne Piesz, brother-in-law Norbert, and sister-in-law Linda.
In addition, Mary Ann is survived by her sister Loretta (Paul) Pryba and brother Dennis. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Services to honor Mary Ann’s life will be held with visitation scheduled for Friday, May 31, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, with instate at 9:30 AM and mass at 10:00 AM at Christ The Good Shepherd.
Mary Ann’s spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.
