Obituary

LOZANO, Minerva, age 78, of Southgate, July 04, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Rogelio Lozano. Loving mother of Rogelio (Charisse) Lozano III and Linda (Salvador) Jimenez, Dearest grandmother of Andrew (Amber) Lozano, Juan Carlos Jimenez, Antonio Lozano and Lela Jimenez. Dear sister of Porfirio (Carol) Martinez, Alfonso (Laurie) Martinez and Carmela (Roel) Ruiz. She is preceded in death by her parents Aristeo Martinez and Adela Nabarro. Minerva was born in Tepetzintla, Veracruz, Mexico and moved to the United States at 9 years old. At 23, she met her loving husband, Rogelio. Minerva had a deep passion for taking care of kids, especially with children in special education and worked in the Detroit Public Schools for 20 years as a Teacher’s Aid. She then retired to focus on taking care of her family and grandchildren. Minerva was an excellent mom, cook, and a humble and generous woman who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. She was a beautiful soul that gave her pure love and compassion to this world. Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
