Obituary
Paul Almond Lucas, a loving and gracious husband, father and family man passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024, in Michigan. Born on January 17, 1947, in Wyandotte, he was a blessing to all who knew him and lived a full, rich life for 77 years.
He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Jeffrey Paul Lucas; his parents, Wilbert and Alice Lucas; one brother and two sisters; and cherished furbabies, Sammy and Gracie.
Paul leaves behind his loving spouse, Sarah Lucas, who stood by him through all life's trials and triumphs. He is also survived by his children: Paulette (Mark) Shumaker, Carol (Bob) Woonton, Robin Lucas and Dan, Connie (Gary) Strother, Janet (Albert) Psujek, and Leonard (Loretta) Eagle. His legacy continues through his 17 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren and one soon to join the family. He is also survived by one brother and three sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a visitation on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. A service to honor Paul's life will be held on November 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at the Michigan Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Lucas can be made to the Penrickton Center for the Blind, a cause close to his heart.
Paul's easy and gentle nature and generosity to everyone will be missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, reunited with those who went before him.
