Ruby Marie Woods Larson, age 89, passed away peacefully April 25, 2020.Born January 14, 1931 in Ridgley, TN to the late Neal and Dimple Hardin Woods. She was the oldest of 8 children. She lived her last years with her family in Lincoln Park, MI and attended First Baptist Church of Wyandotte, MI.Ruby worked extremely hard to raise and support her three girls. She retired in 1984 from Sears, Roebuck, where she worked as a Salesperson. On May 23, 1977, she married the love of her life, Glenwood Larson, who preceded her in death January 29, 2007.Survivors include two daughters Sue (Dennis) Anteau of Stockbridge, MI and Theresa (Llan) Lartz of Lincoln Park, MI; a sister, Mary Lou Miller of St. Joseph, LA; four grandchildren, Dan (Liz) Reynolds, Jennifer (Ray) Gongla, Anthony “Tony” Hamlet, Michael (Stacie) Zuniga, and Stephanie (Andrew) Kelber; 9 great grand children; and 7 great-great grandchildren.Ruby was preceded in death by her oldest daughter Lawanda Faye Hamlet June 22, 2018; three brothers, Jimmy Woods (East Prarie, MO), Melvin Woods (Marble Hill, MO), and Gary Wayne Woods, Sr. (East Prarie, MO); three sisters, Peggy Faye Woods who passed away as an infant, Margaret Maness (Sikeston, MO), and Marilyn Ann “Sis” Dodge (Dexter, MO).Ruby requested cremation. A memorial, to honor Ruby's life will be held at a future date.
