Obituary

Stephanie Yvette Libra passed away on April 17, 2026, in her hometown of Detroit, Michigan, at the age of 64. Born on October 27, 1961, in Detroit, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

Stephanie had a deep passion for her prayer garden, spending countless hours nurturing her plants and finding joy in the beauty of nature. Her love for playing pool was well known, and she not only enjoyed the game herself but also took pride in running a pool league. Many fond memories were made during her games at the Woodhaven Moose Lodge, where she found camaraderie and friendship.

Her legacy is carried on by her devoted husband, Jim Libra, and her loving children: Jason (Linda) Sisum, Walter Jr. York, Deanna York and Kristen Scruggs. She was a cherished grandmother to 14 grandchildren and was blessed with 6 great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored and loved dearly.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her parents, Esteban and Molly, her sister Netty, and her niece Annette. She is survived by her sisters, Izza Atkins, Annie Anderson and her brother Donald Carrasco who will miss her dearly.

Stephanie's life was a testament to the importance of family, love, and the simple joys of life. She will be remembered as the life of the party with her infectious laugh and smile. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
