LIPIEC, Walter J., age 78, of Dearborn Heights, January 17, 2021. Beloved husband of Sandra Lipiec. Loving father of Debra (Michael) Juday and Gerald Cole. Dearest grandfather of Megan (Nick) Sbroglia, Sarah Juday, and Emily Juday. He is also survived by his sister Theresa (Ron) Wiktor and his brother, Edward (Sherry) Lipiec; in addition he is survived by several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Phyllis Lipiec and his mentor, Tony Dannon. He was a longtime member of the American Federation of Musicians. He played piano at Von Maur. He also led the Walter Lipiec Orchestra. His cremation took place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
Condolences
Sadly, we just learned recently of Walt’s passing earlier this year. We knew Walt from the days of Modern Accordion and saw him many times when he played at Von Maur. He played piano for dinner guests at our daughter’s wedding. Our condolences to his wife and family. Don & Bernadette D’Alessandro
