Obituary

William Oliver Lockwood, born on June 23, 1943, in Taylor, Michigan, passed away on February 21, 2026, at the age of 82. A lifelong resident of Taylor, William was known for his spirited personality and a love for causing good-natured trouble.

William dedicated many years of his life as a committed production worker at the Ford Motor Company, where he formed lasting friendships and took pride in his work. Outside of his professional life, he was an avid outdoorsman who cherished spending time hunting, fishing, and playing golf.

Family was the cornerstone of William's life. He was a devoted husband to Phyllis Lockwood, with whom he shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised six children, and he took great joy in watching his family grow, treasuring every moment spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

William is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Edward and Kathleen Lockwood, his dear son Vern Bell, and three cherished siblings. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, surviving through his wife Phyllis, his six children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his sister Maire (Paul) Brennan. His memory will also be carried on by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as friends who became family over the years.

William's zest for life and his mischievous spirit will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Condolences
