MICHAELS, Allen F., age 82, of Superior Charter Twp., September 26, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary Michaels. Loving father of Brenda Lewis, Bob (Sheryl) Colter, Steven (Dianne Haft) Colter, and father in law to Joanne Colter and Kathy Colter. Dearest grandpa of 14 children, and great-grandpa of 23 children. He is survived by his brother Erving (Vi) Michaels. He is preceded in death by his children Allen Scott Michaels, Michael Roger Colter, Richard Edward Colter, Jr., parents Elsie and Earl Michaels, grandchild Bobbie Giles and his siblings Edward Michaels and Doris (the late Frank) Kautz. Allen worked at Krzyske Brothers lumber out of school and then worked for GM for 37.2 years before retiring. Allen also met his beloved wife Rosemary while working at GM together. He was a member of the Ypsilanti Free Methodist church, loved fishing, camping, gardening, and spending time with his family, friends, and all his grandkids. He enjoys feeding the birds, playing cards, and collecting toy tractors.
