Obituary
Arthur Stanislaus Modzelewski, Jr., known fondly as “Jr.”, passed away on August 30, 2024, in Trenton, Michigan, at the age of 70. Born on June 18, 1954, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Art dedicated his life to hard work and family. He spent many years laboring in the construction industry, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues for his diligence and steadfast commitment.
Art was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Collen Modzelewski; his sister, Theresa Modzelewski; and his parents, Arthur and Doris Modzelewski.
He is survived by his loving children: son, Arthur (Rebecca) Modzelewski; son, Joseph (Amber) Modzelewski; and daughter, Shannon Modzelewski. Art was a proud grandfather to Art, Olivia, Kennedy, Greyson, Aubrey, Brently, Jace, Audrina, Levi, and Brinley.
In addition to his children and grandchildren, Art leaves behind his dear sister, Dorothy (the late Earl) Jackson, and his brothers, Rick (Christine) Modzelewski, Bill (Ann) Modzelewski, Doug Modzelewski, and John Modzelewski. He is also survived by his fiancée, Karen Kwanik, who brought much joy to his later years.
Services for Art are pending at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses
