Obituary
Bernard Jonathan Meador, affectionately known as Bernie, passed away on April 21, 2026, in Garden City, Michigan, at the age of 71. Born on April 16, 1955, in Dearborn, Michigan, Bernie spent his life cultivating deep connections with family and friends and sharing his passions with those around him.
Bernie was a dedicated employee of Ford Motor Co., where he worked as a laborer for many years. His love for cars extended beyond his work, as he was an avid car enthusiast who enjoyed attending car shows and the famous Auto Rama event. He found great joy in driving and listening to music as well as listening to his favorite tunes on his record player.
In addition to his passion for automobiles and music, Bernie was known for his generous spirit. He frequently donated to the Wounded Warriors Foundation, reflecting his deep appreciation for those who have served our country.
Bernie was preceded in death by his loving parents, Bernard and Betty, his daughter, Stephanie Meador as well as his siblings, Peggy Masters-Meador, Beverly Meador, and Mark Meador. He is survived by his son, Jason (Bonnie) Meador. Bernie was a proud grandfather to Alex (Tom) Offer, Austin Meador, Christian Meador, Zoey Meador, and Jameson Meador, along with 7 great-grandchildren and friends who will miss his warm presence and engaging stories.
Cremation will take place at "The Witness Crematory," located inside Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. Though he has departed from this world, Bernie’s spirit will live on through the memories he created and the love he shared with all who knew him.
