Obituary

Betty Eileen Moran, born on July 17, 1935, in Crowland, England, passed away on March 2, 2026, in Riverview, Michigan, at the age of 90.

Betty lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community. She found joy in volunteering for the Ann Arbor Hospice, where she touched the lives of many with her compassion and warmth. Her home was a testament to her love for decorating, especially during the holiday season, when she would transform it into a festive haven, with Christmas being her favorite time of year. Betty also possessed a green thumb and took great pride in her garden, where she spent countless hours nurturing flowers and plants, surrounded by nature’s beauty.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Moran; her parents, William and Gladys Green; her sister, Rita; her son, Kelvin Moran; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Gooding and Dane Green-Moran.

She leaves behind a legacy of love in her surviving family: her children, Kelly Moran, Michael Moran, Michele Moran, and Marlene (Paul) Vella; her cherished grandchildren, Theresa Moran, Ashley Khoury, Amanda James, Connor Moran, Logan Moran, Melanie McBride, Destanie Green-Moran, Dylan Green-Moran, Antonio Ramirez, Michael Vella, and McKayla Vella; and her great-grandchildren, Victoria, Emmett, Sonni, Cal, Cole, Candice, Maverick, Ryker, Casey, and Louis. Betty is also survived by her brother, Alvar (Elaine) Green.

Betty’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for her love, laughter, and the beautiful garden she tended both in her yard and in the lives of those she loved.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Humane Society.

Condolences
