McCabe, Carolyn A., age 87, of Riverview, September 27, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Bernard J. McCabe III. Loving mother to Colleen (the late Roger) Wilson. Dearest grandmother to Kris (Emily) Mullins, James (Sandra) McCabe, and great-grandmother to Ethan Mullins and Brady Mullins. She is survived by her sister Janice (George) Portice. She is preceded in death by her sons Gary McCabe and Joel McCabe.
Carolyn was born in Detroit, Mi September 18th, 1935 (parents Earl and Dorothy Nellis) and graduated from Roosevelt High school in 1953. Carolyn is a retired school teacher of 25 years from Gibraltar School District touching many students lives over the years. She enjoyed long conversations with her family, friends, and listening to their stories.
She liked to travel to explore new places with her husband, children, and friends. Going to northern Michigan for fall color change was one of her favorite things to see. Carolyn loved to shop and very generous with gift giving. She supported many different organizations such as Penrickton Center For Blind Children, Paralyzed Veterans of America, World Wildlife Fund, just to name a few.
Carolyn knew how much she was loved will be missed more than we could have imagined.
