Obituary

Craig Allen Mizell, born December 2, 1959, in Wayne, passed away on October 15, 2025, in Van Buren at the age of 65. 

Craig dedicated 45 years of his life to a career at GM, where he worked with commitment and diligence. He was also a devoted member of the Moose for 30 years, forming lasting friendships and contributing to his community.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Mizell; his mother, Frances Mizell; stepmother, Jan Mizell; stepfather, Willis Manns; sister, Patty Mizell; brother, Kevin Mizell; and son-in-law, Chester Hill, Jr.

Craig leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife of 30 years, Jacquelyn Mizell; his children, Amanda (Joe) Crossley, Donna (Mark) Walsh, Brittany (Timothy Perrin) Hill, Samantha (JoJo) Lance, and Courtnie (Charlie Peters) Crawford. He was a proud grandfather to 23 grandchildren and 4.5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sibling, Terry Palmer.

Craig will be remembered for his steadfast commitment to family and work. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, honoring his life and spirit.
