Obituary

MOOSE, David L., age 83, of New Boston, June 18, 2023. Beloved husband of Edith Moose. Loving father of Connie Rose Marie Hudkins and Elizabeth Louise Townley. Dearest grandfather of Christina Hudkins, Michael Hudkins, Miranda Hudkins, Kylie Townley and Kaitlyn Townley, and great-grandfather of Edith, Dylan, Kaden, Bijou and Hadley. He is survived by his siblings, Russell (Karen) Moose, Michealyn Willman, and Joette (William) Morden. David is preceded in death by his grandson, Bradley Hudkins, his parents, Russell and Marie Moose, and his siblings Gloria Moose, Barbara Toth, Marilyn Daniel and Vivian Monastersky. David was a loyal loving husband to his wife Edith of 63 years who together opened their own drapery business. He was a giving and helpful man who did everything for his family and loved ones. Mr. Moose was also a proud member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. He loved to use his hands and creative mind with go-karting, restoring vintage vehicles, and building homes, developing a community which lead to a legacy of his dreams fulfilled on Elizabeth Lane. In his retirement years he found peace working with his tractor or riding the lawn mower. Throughout the years he was supportive and touched so many lives. He will forever be remembered and cherished by all especially in the swimming (“pull, pull, pull”) and dance communities. His memories will forever be in our hearts.
