Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diego Charles Mino, who departed this life on July 30, 2026, in Dearborn, Michigan, at the age of 49. Born on September 30, 1976, in Trenton, Michigan, Diego was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

Diego had a deep passion for many pursuits. He was a strong advocate for gun rights and found joy in the world of video games. A devoted sports enthusiast, he especially cherished following the Detroit Red Wings. His love for music was a constant companion throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Mino; his sister, Laura; and his nephews, Nick and Michael. His memory will be forever treasured by his surviving family: his mother, Gale (Brad) Adkins; his children, Seth (Samantha) Piper, Madison Piper, and Emma Mino; and his cherished grandchildren, Sylas, Oden, and Violet.

Diego is also survived by his siblings: Rick, Melodee (Todd), Angie, Thomas (Debbie), Shannon (Bill), and Brandy (Jeff). He was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, who will miss his presence dearly.

In our time of sorrow, we remember Diego for the warmth and devotion he brought to his family and friends. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Diego’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in support of colon cancer research.
