Obituary
Earl McCoy, Jr., a cherished soul who touched the lives of many, passed away on December 25, 2024, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 82. Born on May 23, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, Earl lived a life marked by love, resilience, and dedication to his family.
Earl was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alicia McCoy; his parents, Earl and Nola McCoy, Sr.; his son, Mark McCoy; and his granddaughter, Heather. Their memories remain etched in the hearts of those who knew them.
He leaves behind a legacy of love through his surviving family: his devoted daughter, Jill McCoy; his five grandchildren, Christine (Eric) Armes, Steven McCoy, Michael Northam, Shaun McCoy, and Angel Gates; and his three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Hudson, and Logan.
Earl's life was further enriched by the companionship of his many brothers and sisters: Willard McCoy, Joyce Mathis, Jimmie McCoy, Howard McCoy, Eugene McCoy, Daniel McCoy, and Catherine (Leo) Hulderman.
Earl's journey was one of quiet strength and unwavering commitment to those he held dear. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
