Obituary

Jeannette Diane Miara, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on April 17, 2026, in Gibraltar, Michigan, at the age of 82. Born on September 16, 1943, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Jeannette led a life rich with love, family, and cherished pastimes.

Throughout her years, Jeannette found joy and companionship as part of the Widows Club and could often be found enjoying a game of Bunco or participating in lively game days at the local library. She had a love for Detroit sports, enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with her family, and cherished lunches and activities with “the girls.” She especially loved the Fourth of July, traveling from city to city to take in the beauty of fireworks displays. Christmas time held a special place in her heart, and she took great delight in decorating her home each year with an impressive collection of 17 Christmas trees. Her love for television, particularly soap operas, brought her hours of entertainment and comfort.

Jeannette was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob Miara; her parents, John and Sophia; her sister, Barbara (Gary) Fay; her brother, John Malinsky; and her brother-in-law, Ronald Wolfe. Her memory will be lovingly cherished by her children, Suzanne (Rob) Renner, Michael, and Michelle (Karyn). She is also survived by her dear sister, Geraldine Wolfe; She leaves behind her grandchildren, Kyle (Kara), Chelsea (Chad) Formberg, Brad (Katelyn), and Jake, who will forever hold her close in their hearts. Her five great-great-grandchildren, Cooper, Layla, Liam, Talia and Gracie, were the lights of her life as well as her grand-pups River and Chloe.

Her family and friends will remember her fondly for her warmth, her love of games, and the stories she shared.

Honoring her wishes, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Children’s Miracle Network.

Condolences
