Joseph Merrit McCracken, born on June 17, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on August 10, 2026, in Gibraltar, Michigan, at the age of 84.
Joseph was a man of many talents and interests, dedicating much of his time to the art of woodworking, where he crafted beautiful pieces with skilled hands. He found joy in the tranquility of boating, the satisfaction of yard work, and the fulfillment of restoring and building all manner of things. His creative spirit and love for craftsmanship were evident in everything he did.
Joseph is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Charles and Virginia Sabo. He leaves behind his devoted spouse, Jennifer McCracken, who shared in his adventures and passions. He is also survived by his loving daughter, Molly McCracken, and cherished grandson, Neal McCracken, who will forever hold fond memories of their time together.
