Obituary

Kevin Andrew Marschner was born in Wyandotte on May 18, 1973. He was raised in Trenton and graduated from Trenton High School in 1991. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served from 1991 to 1994 and was stationed on the USS Reclaimer in Hawaii. It was his greatest honor to serve his country. During his time in the Navy, he was an electrician’s mate, which set the course for his career. After the Navy, he continued working as a field service generator technician for more than 30 years. Kevin believed if you were going to do something for most of your life, you should love what you do — and he truly did.

Kevin always adored children and had a wonderful relationship with all of his nieces and nephews; however, his two daughters, Elyana and Emsley, were the lights of his life and made him the best dad. Kevin had always been an outdoorsman — hunting, fishing, boating, and camping all made his heart happy. What brought true and immeasurable happiness to Kevin was family.

Kevin passed away on March 25, 2026, at the age of 52 in Northern Michigan.

He was the beloved husband of Jenne Marschner. Loving father of Elyana and Emsley Marschner. Dear son of the late Harold “Pops” Marschner and the late Nancy (Corns) Marschner. Cherished son-in-law of Kathy Bordine. He was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Marschner.

He is survived by his siblings, Leslie Castillo and Steve Marschner; his sisters-in-law, Heather Bordine, Emma Frith, Amanda Fradenburgh, and Jyl Bordine; and his brother-in-law, Jeremy Fradenburgh. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, including Bethany (Castillo) Tuer and Jack Tuer, Danielle Castillo and Matt Gruber, Gregg and Renee Marschner, Travis and Amy Marschner, Austin Marschner, Trevor and Paige Hnot, Paige Marschner, Olivia Fradenburgh, and Bella Bordine; as well as great-nieces and nephews, Cooper Tuer, Sienna and Anderson Gruber, Lucas and Ava Marschner, Bennett Marschner, and Gracie and Avery Hnot.

Services will be held at Michigan Memorial in Flat Rock, Michigan on Saturday, April 4, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life ceremony at 6:30 PM. Burial will be a private family service.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Kevin’s honor to Child and Family Services of Northwestern Michigan – YouthWork Program, an organization near and dear to Jenne and Kevin’s hearts, where they volunteered for close to 10 years.

Condolences
